About The Products
It’s often hard for me to find a staple product and by that I mean, once the bottle is empty I tend to want to buy another one straight away…Especially when it comes to cleansers! But this has most definitely been the case with the Katherine Daniels Essential Miracle Cleansing Jelly.
At first when I applied this product I felt it to be a little strange, it’s thick jelly texture isn’t something I’m used to with cleansers but I’m a huge lover of oil cleansers so once I started massaging it into my skin it become familiar to an oil cleanser but felt much more luxurious. I then added a small amount of water to my face (as instructed on the bottle) which formed a milky texture. Giving my face another little once over, I rinsed off the product and to my surprise the cleanser had literally removed all my make-up, including my mascara! (You are suppose to remove with a micro cloth but I prefer to rinse, sorry!)
Normally I tend to take my eye make-up off first and then go in with a cleanser but with this being my first time using the jelly cleanser I wanted to test out how good it was and honestly, from that moment on I was hooked. HOOKED.
This cleanser is hands down one of the best cleansers I have ever used and with all KDC products being free from parabens, minerals, and perservatives such as SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate) MI and MIT (Methylisothiazolinone) and of course are free from animal testing…I would highly recommend you try this product out to see for yourself. It also has no scent to it at all – or at least a “barely there” scent which I like as I hate perfumed products!
The Essential Miracle Cleansing Jelly costs £25 (100ml) and has lasted me for weeks so far (a little goes a long way). It is used morning/evening and is for all skin types. I have combination skin which can be quite sensitive at times but my face really does love this cleanser! Some cleansers tend to dry my skin out over-time or cause some redness after a while, but I haven’t had any of those affects with this one. I also feel like I have real clean skin after my routine which I haven’t had for a while with the cleansers I’d been previously trying.
I’m so relieved to say I’ve finally found one that I can rely on so for this I thank you Katherine Daniels Cosmetics !
Now on to the Deep Cleansing Mask which to be honest I’m not a huge fan of clay masks as once they dry on your skin it’s quite uncomfortable and I find washing them off really inconvenient. However I do feel they are a necessary part in any skincare routine for deep cleansing so nevertheless I do a clay mask once a Month as I like to use a variety within the Month ie. one for cleansing, one for hydrating, one for ageing (yikes!) and so on. I don’t tend to wear a lot of make-up on a daily basis so feel that’s enough for me when it comes to using a cleansing clay mask.
This mask like the cleanser is unique in the sense of it’s colour and texture. It has a smooth feel to it when applying and I find the beige colour really interesting. The only clay masks I have previously used have all been a dark mud colour or green…very pretty indeed! So it was quite fun to use something different to be honest. Once dried it was obviously the same routine of trying to get it off but for this I obviously use a damp cloth which makes life far easier.
The product description states an earth toned mask which leaves skin purified and refined. It deeps cleanses and refines pores leaving skin more radiant. One thing I have experienced for sure with Katherine Daniels products is that they do exactly what they say on the bottle. No exaggeration, they deliver what they promise!
My skin felt deeply cleansed and I’m honestly not just saying that, it felt refreshed, clean and although slightly red in places my skin settled down almost straight away. With sensitive skin it’s quite normal to have a little redness straight after a cleansing face mask or with exfoliating so this doesn’t concern me at all. Scent wise it smells lovely, I can’t put my finger on what it reminds me of but it’s not strong at all and just smells…fresh.
The 75ml Deep Cleansing Mask costs £27.40 and even though it states to use 1-2 times per week it will last me a while as I won’t be deep cleansing that often. For those with more oily skin I’m assuming it would be fine to use once a week but I personally wouldn’t go for twice a week as don’t forget you have to exfoliate too so you don’t want to be over working your skin.
